This dataset collection contains data collected during a 15-month field test in Tanzania from December 2017 to March 2019. The software was distributed to 2,700 children aged 7-11 across 170 villages in the Tanga region of Tanzania.
The participating children were divided into 5 treatment groups and one control group. Each treatment cohort used tablets with the learning software developed by one of the five Global Learning XPRIZE finalist teams, while the control group did not use any tablets.
Two types of learning assessments were performed before and after the field test: EGRA/EGMA (RTI) and Social-Emotional (UNESCO).
Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA)

Note that the individual egra-egma-results-<TEAM>.csv files contain 75% of the dataset for each team. And the egra-egma-results-treatment-100-percent.csv file contains 100% of the dataset (of all teams) combined into one file, but with Village ID and Child ID removed.
Early Grade Mathematics Assessment (EGMA)
The EGMA assessment was performed at the same time as the EGRA assessment (see above).
